The Unified Government Commission unanimously approved the planning and zoning consent agenda on July 30 following the clerk's read of multiple change-of-zone and special-use items. The consent slate included change-of-zone requests (COZ2025-034; COZ2026-009; COZ2026-013), multiple special-use permits for short-term rentals and other uses, and plan-review applications for residential and commercial projects.
Clerk read the list of consent items and staff noted each had received a unanimous recommendation from the planning commission. Commissioner Melissa Bynum moved to approve the consent agenda, Commissioner Andrew Davis seconded, and roll-call recorded a 9'0to'0 vote in favor. Affected addresses included 8037 Parallel Parkway, 2011 Shawnee Drive, 648 Split Log Avenue, and several short-term rental addresses across the county; staff will implement approvals consistent with planning conditions.
