Board denies SBV2 Owner LLC appeal for 1 Emily Way after prior stipulation

The Suffield Board of Assessment Appeals denied an appeal from SBV2 Owner LLC for 1 Emily Way at its March 5, 2026, meeting. Attorney Ryan Schaitkin represented the owner and told the Board he did not bring comparable sales evidence. Chair Edward G. McAnaney noted the owner had previously signed a stipulation estimating the 2023 fair market value; the Board found no material change.
Board member Krystal Holmes moved to deny the appeal and Norman Noble seconded. The motion passed unanimously, 3–0, and the minutes record that the appeal was denied. The Board indicated it would issue a written decision by letter in the coming weeks.
