County awards $42,516 apron-replacement contract to Tani Mara Inc.

Drew Byerwood of County Emergency Services recommended awarding the front concrete apron replacement contract to Tani Mara Inc. "Tani Mara put a bid in at 42,516," he told the board after explaining two vendors responded to the solicitation and that both indicated they would honor November bid pricing.
A supervisor moved to receive the recommendation and then moved to award the work; the board approved the contract award by unanimous vote, recorded as 4-0. Byerwood noted a second bid from Corn Belt Construction at $44,000 and said only two firms responded to the on-site bid solicitation.
