Supervisors authorize liens on delinquent sewer accounts and approve licenses, permits, payroll and claims
Summary
The board authorized special assessment liens on five Mt. Sterling properties for delinquent sewer accounts (each $142.80), approved payroll/claims lists and a Class B Retail Alcohol license renewal for Moore’s Grocery, and approved FY2026 cigarette permits for three businesses.
On motion by House, seconded by Meek, the board authorized the county treasurer to place special assessment liens against five properties in the former city of Mt. Sterling for delinquent sewer accounts. Each listed property—Samuel & Meghan Boley; Cresten Downey; Nicole Trout; IAT 56 LLC/Perez; and Gary Shelton—was assessed $142.80.
The board also approved payroll (#47459–47537), handwritten and ACH claims, and a renewal for a Class B Retail Alcohol license for Moore’s Grocery in Douds. Later the board approved FY2026 annual cigarette permits for Boyd Grocery (Keosauqua), Douds Kwik Stop (Douds), and Moore’s Grocery (Douds). The meeting record shows the board acknowledged multiple Manure Management Plan updates from local facilities.
