Town highlights movie night turnout and lists upcoming hearings and meetings

The mayor announced the town calendar through February: a special magistrate hearing Jan. 16 (5:30 p.m.), observance closures for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents Day, a town council meeting Jan. 27 (6 p.m.), a planning commission meeting Jan. 29 (6:30 p.m.), and a drive-in movie night Feb. 21 at Lantana Sports Park.
One councilor proposed exploring a more permanent, easily deployed movie-screen solution to reduce repeated rental costs; the idea was advanced for future consideration under sunshine-law constraints.
