Town Clerk Kathleen Dominguez explained the agreement outlines responsibilities for candidate qualification, advertising, equipment, vote tabulation and poll staffing. She told the council the cost of services is "around $15,000" depending on vote-by-mail usage and that the amount has been budgeted for the current fiscal year. She also noted the county canvassing board will serve as the town's canvassing board to oversee ballots and the canvassing process.
The council approved the resolution by motion and recorded a unanimous voice vote. No public comments were registered on the item.
