The town council voted unanimously on Jan. 9 to postpone the second readings of two ordinances until Jan. 13, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. The assistant town attorney recommended entertaining a motion to continue the second (final) readings of Ordinance O‑0224 and Ordinance O‑0324 to that date.
Vice Mayor Pro Tem Mason moved to postpone the second readings of both ordinances; the clerk recorded that Mr. Castle seconded the motion. The mayor called for the vote and the clerk said, “Motion carries 5 0.” No substantive debate on the ordinance language occurred at the Jan. 9 meeting; the council will consider the ordinances again on Jan. 13, 2025.
