Commission approves $3.84 million design contract for SW Connector Corridor (CP-5100); awards testing contract

Highway Engineer Dana Larsen presented an updated scope and fee from Bolton & Menk for preliminary design engineering and environmental documentation for CP-5100(25) SW Connector Corridor with a not-to-exceed amount of $3,840,795.56. The commission moved to approve the contract and authorize the chairman to sign.
The commission also awarded Falling Weight Deflectometer testing and engineering on county paved roads to Braun for $19,942 and set agricultural right-of-way value at $8,000 per acre and residential right-of-way value at $35,000 per acre for project HLC-5144(060) - PCN24498. These actions authorize the county to proceed with design and testing activities for corridor planning and right-of-way negotiations.
