Kane County rezones New Paria parcel to allow RV park

At its April 14 meeting the Kane County Board adopted Ordinance 2026‑11 to change the zoning for Parcel 2‑1‑33‑2 in the New Paria area (adjacent to Highway 89) from Commercial I to Commercial II to permit an RV park.
Planning staff (Shannon McBride) said the applicant intends to develop an RV park on the parcel. Commissioner Patty Kubeja moved to approve the rezoning and the motion carried with Chair Gwen Brown and Commissioner Celeste Meyeres joining her in a unanimous vote.
The ordinance changes the parcel's zoning classification to allow the applicant to pursue site development and related permits under Commercial II standards; staff asked the applicant to follow standard permitting and county review processes before construction begins.
