Planning staff asked the board to set public hearings for two conditional use permits. CUP 25-02 would allow a 165-foot radio tower on property owned by the Farmville 7th Day Adventist Church at 2086 Cumberland Road; the planning commission recommended approval 5–0. The board voted to set the public hearing for July 14.
Staff also presented CUP 26-01 (Mega Minigolf) for property owned by Fred Burrell at 3945 Cumberland Road. The planning commission sent the application to the board with unanimous recommendation, and the board set the public hearing for July 14 after a motion and second.
Planning director Stephanie Johnson also briefed the board on other pending zoning matters, subdivisions and solar-project permit progress, and a 64-acre Antill wetland mitigation project. Board members acknowledged the forthcoming hearings and encouraged public participation.
