Commission approves rezoning in New Paria to allow future dry RV park

Planning staff said the landowner had already placed modular structures and sheds and now seeks the appropriate zoning before applying for a conditional-use permit.
Staff told the commission the owner must resolve infrastructure constraints — notably water access and septic — during the conditional-use process. As planning staff explained, "he didn't realize that he needed the C 2 zoning and that he couldn't just do, rent RVs," and the owner is working with the health department on septic permits. Commissioners moved to approve the zoning change and voted aye.
