CDC of Ohio urges county to apply for Neighborhood Revitalization grants; funding amounts uncertain

John Cleek and Thomas Perry of CDC of Ohio updated commissioners on Dec. 10 about Neighborhood Revitalization grant opportunities. They provided a spreadsheet of eligible villages and townships and recommended that commissioners consider projects in the village of Rushsylvania, noting CDC of Ohio has not worked there recently and the village qualifies to apply.
Cleek said state program funding amounts remain under review and "funding may be reduced," but he added CDC of Ohio was hopeful allocations would remain similar to prior rounds. Commissioners agreed to pursue projects in Rushsylvania and asked CDC staff to reach out to villages and townships to assess critical infrastructure needs and interest in applications.
The board also authorized Commissioner Yoder to sign a CDBG participation agreement (MHDA Services Board PY2022) that requires the president of the MHDA board signature; commissioners accepted the agreement and recorded the authorization by motion.
