Police Chief Sotto reported the sale of three surplus patrol vehicles for $1,600 apiece, totaling $4,800, and said the buyer will bring a check to city hall within days. "We got $1,600 for each each 1, so a total of $4,800," he said, and explained those proceeds would be used toward a replacement vehicle purchase.
Chief Sotto also said he had emailed the executive assistant to Representative Mendoza to check the status of local project funding for a police-department remodel and that a Legends Casino funding application could yield a local grant decision in March. He described the planned remodel as an in-depth update to the existing structure, including a new awning and more welcoming frontage.
