The Tonkawa City Council voted unanimously on Aug. 19 to pay $2,500 to the Pride and Beautification Committee to support turf repair and drainage work at Heart in the Park.
City Manager Nicholas Payne explained the project and answered council questions before Councilman Charles Conaghan moved to approve the payment; Kenneth Smith seconded. The motion passed on a 5–0 roll call.
