The Axon payment covers the initial year of a multi‑year contract extension for equipment and services used by city public‑safety operations. Council minutes record that the extension itself was approved at the June 13, 2025 special meeting; the Aug. 19 action authorized the Year‑1 invoice to be paid from the city’s claims list.
