The board also approved one‑step pay increases for four Public Works employees (Daniel Pitzer, James Bryant, Larry Jolly and Gordon Moncrief) who obtained Class A commercial driver’s licenses. Commissioner Gottwals presented and the board approved hiring election day workers for the May 19, 2026 General Primary/Nonpartisan/Special Election with a detailed pay schedule that totaled $25,878.50.
Chairman Perdue and commissioners thanked election staff and county employees for their work. The board also approved paying bills presented at the meeting totaling $4,938,107.89 and then adjourned the session.
