Houston County, Centerville sign MOU to repair Carl Vinson Parkway with split funding

Houston County Commissioners approved entering into a Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Centerville to perform repairs and improvements to Carl Vinson Parkway.
Under the agreement Centerville will contribute 100% of its 2026 LMIG allocation ($122,736.76) plus 30% of the 2026 LMIG match allocation ($36,821.03) for a total contribution of $159,557.79. The County will cover remaining project costs using funds from the 2018 Countywide SPLOST. Chairman Perdue said the partnership will expedite work on the parkway and is an appropriate use of countywide transportation SPLOST funds.
The motion carried unanimously.
