In public comment, Valkyrie Anderson, executive director of Houston County Family Connection, thanked the Board for a $10,000 ARPA donation supporting the organization's 2025 Back to School Bash and acknowledged county Planner Jake Cox and Commissioner Gottwals's assistance with literacy initiatives. Thomas Reynolds asked about removing school taxes for senior citizens, praised Emory Warner Robins for care his mother received, and requested information about a 100-year-old cemetery being moved for a construction project.
Chairman Perdue and other commissioners also used their remarks to thank first responders for storm response and to ask residents for patience during a new water billing system rollout; Perdue noted the county and Middle Georgia Regional Commission had success securing Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Grant funding for Echeconnee Creek Park.
