The Sedgwick County Fire District No. 1 governing body met on Sept. 18, 2024, and approved the minutes for meetings held Aug. 14, Aug. 21 and Sept. 4, 2024. The chair moved to approve the minutes, saying, "I'll move to approve the fire meeting minutes of August 14, August 21, and 09/04/2024." The motion was seconded and the clerk recorded unanimous ayes.
Tom Stowell, speaking for the County Manager's Office, recommended approval of consent item D on the fire agenda. Following his recommendation, the chair moved to approve the consent item; the motion carried with all commissioners recorded as voting in favor. The board noted there would be no executive session and officially adjourned the Fire District No.1 meeting, returning to the Board of County Commissioners agenda.
