Sedgwick County approves Sanofi Pasteur pricing agreement for vaccines through 2027

The Board approved a pricing agreement with Sanofi Pasteur Inc. effective Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2027 to secure lower prices on certain vaccines; the Health Department expects some products will only be available from Sanofi and said last year’s Sanofi purchases were about $156,000.
Sedgwick County’s Health Department presented and the board approved a multi-year pricing agreement with Sanofi Pasteur Incorporated to establish contract pricing from Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2027. Bridal Rosencutter, speaking for the Health Department, said the contract gives the department lower prices for Sanofi products and that some vaccines are available only from Sanofi.
Board members clarified that this action establishes a new three-year contract and that the department routinely compares pricing across vendors. Bev, the Health Department’s Director of Preventive Health, confirmed the department files insurance claims and receives reimbursements for vaccines when applicable and said last year’s spend with Sanofi was approximately $156,000.
