County staff previewed Item L and said an acquisition for a new EMS post on 13th Street requires a second curb cut to secure ingress and egress. Staff said that if the second access point cannot be obtained during zoning review, the county is unlikely to proceed with the acquisition.
"If we cannot get that 2nd point, we are probably not likely to continue with that acquisition of that EMS post," a staff member (S1) said. The staff member said the county is working through the zoning process with planning and noted the resolution in Item L is the customary document used for closings and acquisitions.
Staff also noted EMS has indicated the location may not be preferred; the outcome is contingent on zoning and a successful access solution.
