County previews $1.16 million drainage improvement for Valley Center development; county to cover half

Mayor Stolitz previewed a consent-agenda item for a drainage improvement around the Harvest Place Phase 1 development in Valley Center and said the county's share would be roughly half of the project cost.
"The county is responsible for 50% of that funding in that project when it goes forward, which runs at about 1.157, dollars 1,100,000," Mayor Stolitz said; later he clarified the dollar figure as $1,157,427. County staff added the amount will be paid over a three-year schedule with the first installment due this year and payments for 2025 and 2026 already approved in the capital-improvement program (CIP).
Mayor Stolitz also noted an associated capital-improvement amendment (Item K) will accompany the consent item when it appears on next Wednesday's agenda. No formal vote was taken at the agenda review; the item is slated for the consent agenda.
