County schedules suicide-prevention proclamations and data presentation

The commission will include a Suicide Prevention Week proclamation and a Constitution Week proclamation on next Wednesday's agenda, and staff said Dr. Klaus will deliver a data-driven presentation on suicide trends.
"It's always a sobering presentation when she's there," Mayor Stolitz (S3) said when previewing the agenda. County communications also noted September is Suicide Prevention Month and that Joan Tammany from Comcare will speak during the announcements.
The commission did not take action during the agenda-review meeting; the proclamations and Dr. Klaus's presentation are scheduled items for the Sept. 11 meeting.
