Streetscape project paused as NEPA cleared but engineering funds exhausted

The Selectboard received an update on the downtown streetscape project on Nov. 3 from Bethany Remmers of the Northwest Regional Planning Commission, who said NEPA has been approved and right-of-way plans and permanent easements work are beginning. Minutes record that "NEPA has been approved" and that ROW clearance is still pending.
Remmers told the board that TAP grant engineering funds for the project have been spent (minutes record "~$530k"), and that an NBRC construction grant of approximately $801,000 requires documentation of matching funds estimated at about $300,000. The board did not vote separately on the streetscape item but tied its funding actions to broader wastewater project funding steps.
