The proposed ordinance requires registrants to maintain liability and property insurance "of not less than $1 million per occurrence per dwelling unit" or to use a hosting platform that provides equivalent coverage. Registrants must display the town-assigned registration number in the unit and in listings, provide guests with written emergency instructions including the location of fire extinguishers and egress diagrams, and ensure compliance with building, health and fire safety codes. The ordinance limits overnight guests to two per bedroom, plus up to two additional guests per dwelling unit, and requires a minimum of one off-street parking space per bedroom (9x18 ft) on the property or adjacent property owned by the registrant.
