Code-enforcement officer Maria Tovar said the village opened a complaint in June 2024 after residents reported cooling-tower and vertical-riser problems; she said the contractor had continued work without a permit and the village issued a $250 citation.
Gary Carmen, attorney for the association, said the association prepared forms and is applying for permits and asked that fines be abated and stayed until the next hearing while they complete paperwork. Magistrate Monastine granted 30 days without fines and set a return for a status update.
