The Warrenton-Hammond Board voted to approve the 2026–27 district operating calendar after Superintendent Trip Goodall described the collaborative process used to draft the schedule with teachers and union representatives. Goodall said the district "would anticipate there may be more discussion moving forward regarding early release" and that the district will begin school earlier than usual next year.
Board member Mark Simonsen moved and Director Tabbitha McGrorty seconded the motion; the record shows the motion carried (6 Ayes, 1 Absent). Goodall said staff had hoped to present a two-year cycle but will continue conversations and aim to present a two-year option before April next year. The motion completes formal adoption of the calendar for the coming school year.
