Edisto Beach ATAX Board elects officers for 2026; minutes approved

The Town of Edisto Beach Accommodations Tax (ATAX) Advisory Board elected officers for 2026 and approved meeting minutes during its Feb. 5, 2026 meeting.
Marie Bost moved to appoint Mike Hobson as chair; the motion was seconded by Richard Howse and approved unanimously by the five members present: Mike Hobson, Judy Blancett, Marie Bost, Emma Hart and Richard Howse. In the same series of motions, Howse moved to appoint Bost as vice chair, seconded by Emma Hart; that motion also passed unanimously.
The board approved the minutes of the Nov. 6, 2025 ATAX meeting on a motion from Bost, seconded by Hart, and approved the minutes of the Dec. 30, 2025 special meeting on a motion from Howse, seconded by Hart. Each motion recorded unanimous approval with five yes votes and no recorded abstentions or no votes.
The decisions set the board’s leadership and finalized past meeting records; no additional conditions or follow-up tasks were assigned during the election and minutes approvals.
