Treasure Island Cove demolition nearly complete; fines continue while mitigation in place

Orlando Rodriguez told the magistrate that demolition work at Treasure Island Cove (1601–1647 North Treasure Drive) had advanced substantially: "nearly all the buildings are to the ground, with the exception of a few walls." Rodriguez recommended fines continue until final inspection and closure; he reported running fines and the current total of $136,750.
Eric Jones of Sunbeam Development, appearing for the project, said he had no objections to the inspector's summary and noted there is a conditional mitigation order in place. The magistrate accepted the village's recommendation to continue fines while the property completes hauling and final inspections and asked staff and the developer to coordinate on the mitigation and next status report.
