Residents raise Comp Plan and infrastructure concerns as board approves funding

Several residents used the public-comment period June 9 to press the board on the county's water project and agenda processes. She urged the Planning Commission to review the matter.
Other commenters included Jerry Dunford, who said Dominion-associated water work should not be paid for by Cumberland citizens; Ron Tavernier, who urged reconsideration of existing water infrastructure and said emergency responders should be better rewarded; and Maurice Donikin El, who raised a safety concern about ditches dug on Columbia Road. The board did not take action on these public comments at the June 9 meeting.
