Nonprofit seeks facility, cites $50,000 state contract for BOOST program

Mielitz said the organization works with Child Protection Services and is implementing a $50,000 annual contract with the State of South Dakota.
Mielitz asked the council and community for help locating a home or facility with bedrooms to support families visiting or in short-term crisis, and emphasized that operational funding currently comes from local fundraisers and grants. The Mayor and council thanked Mielitz for the organization's services and for raising awareness of the program's needs; no formal city funding action was taken at the meeting.
