Alan Adelman, owner of Sly’s Steakhouse, asked the Milbank City Council during public forum to review the city ordinance governing retail on/off-sale malt beverage licenses so he could add an off‑sale option to expand his business.
Councilmember Craig Weinberg noted that during the last update to the ordinance the council chose not to increase the number of such licenses and thanked Adelman for his investment in the business. Mayor Pat Raffety asked staff to add the discussion to the council's October agenda for formal consideration; no formal vote occurred at the Sept. 8 meeting.
