Mayor Crawford Moore called the special Town Council meeting in Edisto Beach to order at 11:06 a.m. on Feb. 10, 2026. Present were Mayor Crawford Moore and councilmembers Jerome Kizer, Robert Renner, Jay Watts and Joey Bagwell; Municipal Clerk Donna Rizer recorded the minutes.
Councilmember Jerome Kizer moved that the council enter executive session to "receive legal advice related to matters covered by the attorney-client privilege" under S.C. Code 30-4-70(a)(2) and to discuss "employment, appointment, compensation, promotion, demotion, discipline, or release of an employee(s) related to the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget amendment" under S.C. Code 30-4-70(a)(1). Councilmember Robert Renner seconded the motion, which the minutes record as approved unanimously; the council recessed into executive session at 11:07 a.m.
The record shows the council returned to open session at 11:27 a.m. after a motion by Councilmember Jerome Kizer, seconded by Councilmember Jay Watts; that motion likewise passed unanimously. The minutes state that "no action was taken" following the return to open session. With business concluded, Councilmember Jerome Kizer moved to adjourn; Councilmember Robert Renner seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 11:28 a.m.
