Sweetwater County commissioners voted unanimously to award the fiscal year 2025 CMAQ/dust-control contract to Dustbusters Enterprises LLC in the amount of $838,940.
Public Works Director Gene Ligurski told the commission staff had received concurrence from the Wyoming Department of Transportation and recommended moving forward. Ligurski said the contractor did not raise its price after the short delay and that work would proceed about two weeks late. "CMAQ, we're only doing maybe 30 [miles], mostly out around the Wamsutta area... the rest of those... other 40, 50 miles is directly out of dust control," Ligurski said when commissioners asked about mileage and funding.
Commissioner Slaughter moved to award the bid and Commissioner Richards seconded; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. The board authorized the chairman to sign the necessary project documents.
