The board unanimously adopted a resolution accepting a series of charitable gifts to the district. Deb Buchanan introduced the resolution listing donations that include $25 for a snack cart from Jeff and Katie Showblum; backpacks, school supplies and calculators from United Way of Goodhue County (Red Wing); $3,000 to support MMEA expenses from the Duane Maingo Fire Department Relief Association; $50 for the Angel Fund from Anne Lund; school supplies from Trinity Lutheran Church; personal‑care items and snacks from Janet Krause; and an LED follow spotlight (valued $224.99) from Paul and Ellery Clauson.
Trustees thanked donors and recorded the resolution as adopted. The board directed administration to acknowledge donors and to use the gifts for the stated student support and activity purposes.
Why it matters: Donations provide immediate, targeted support for student needs and activities and are formally accepted to allow administration to allocate and acknowledge the gifts.
Next steps: Administration will complete donor acknowledgments and incorporate donated items into relevant programs (snack cart, Angel Fund, MMEA support, school supplies distribution).
