City Operator Bobby Archer reported that Pump 1 at the water plant lost prime because of bad floats in the chlorine chamber. Archer called Max Baker, the city’s certified consultant, and the Automation Group (TAG) replaced a float that restored operation.
TAG will replace additional floats and research an electrical issue that remains unresolved. Archer reported there were no problems at the wastewater plant. Mayor Richard Watson and Archer discussed reviewing the city’s water infrastructure for fire suppression capability; no formal action was taken at the meeting.
