Chad Shelton, owner and editor of Ridgeline Magazine, told the Council the free publication began distribution in late 2024 with a print run of 1,500 copies and plans airport distribution at the Travel Lane County kiosk. Shelton said he received a $1,000 RTMP grant in November and sought a second $1,000 grant in early 2025.
Mayor Richard Watson moved to award a second RTMP grant of $1,000 to Ridgeline Magazine; Councilor Deretta Huey seconded and the motion passed 3–0. The grant is intended to support continued distribution and promotional placement, including the reported arrangement at Portland International Airport.
