Westfir reviews finances; ARPA obligations noted and January expenditures approved

City Recorder Nicole Tritten provided the financial review, submitting cash deposits, reconciliations and the auditor's Agreed Upon Procedures report for 2023–24. She said of Westfir's $59,304 in ARPA funds, $32,904 had been spent; $17,149 was obligated for the Wastewater Facilities Plan; and $9,103 was obligated for water tank cleaning and inspection. Nicole also noted insufficient funding in the current fiscal year for the certified consultant needed for the Sewer Fund.
Councilor Linda M. Love moved to approve January 2025 expenditures in the amount of $103,916.08; Councilor Huey seconded and the motion carried 3–0. The council reviewed bank statements, reconciliations and the state's revenues/expenditures report.
