The Westfir City Council adopted Ordinance No. 146 on Dec. 11, approving text amendments to the Westfir Development Code. Mayor D’Lynn Williams moved to approve the ordinance and Councilor Kelly Packard seconded; the motion carried 4–0.
The ordinance includes multiple changes: creating a Public Facilities zone, permitting manufactured home parks in High‑Density Residential (R‑3) and Community Residential (CR) zones, removing a numeric limit on dogs in the CR zone, removing commercial pet kennels as a permitted use in R‑1 through R‑3 zones, and removing code language to align with HB 4064 (2022). The Planning Commission recommended approval; staff presented the changes during the public hearing and no members of the public provided testimony.
