The commission recognized a group of officers for quarterly awards and specific acts of service. Deputy Chief Behar read commendations and explained officers were honored for consistent service and for a rescue of a resident at Treasure Island Care Center. "Specifically, they were noted for the heroic efforts in seeing the life of a resident at Treasure Island Care Center," Behar told the dais during the recognitions.
Commissioners, the manager and public voiced appreciation and took photos with the award recipients. Gifts were noted as sponsored by Commissioner Ciccone. The commission paused briefly for the recognition and photo opportunities before returning to the regular agenda.
