The commission also heard from the grant manager about a $3,000,000 Coastal Resilience (federal pass‑through) grant tied to seawall work that expires in September 2026 and an approximately $1,000,000 'North Plaza' grant with an imminent March deadline. Staff said they would seek short extensions where possible and explore whether the state or grant manager would permit scope adjustments or repurposing to salvage funds for high‑priority shoreline work.
