Ned Beecher reported that restoration work on the Great Hill Fire Tower is making progress, with roughly two‑thirds of the tower steel ground and primed and the final paint expected to arrive later in the week. Commissioners noted receipt of the original document transferring ownership of the tower to the Town and the need to track restoration costs.
Commissioner Charlie Townsend said the Commission has spent $1,976.59 of its 2026 budget so far and raised a $232.92 reimbursement request for tower paint; the Commission tabled the reimbursement until the next meeting to allow time for returns or order adjustments. No formal vote was recorded on the restoration schedule at the July 13 meeting.
