District staff outline new parent-facing progress report and data fixes

District staff described a new parent-facing student-progress document that will pull attendance and assessment data from Synergy and Oregon Data Suite; staff said a comparative ESD report was delayed because data pulls were inaccurate and will be presented in March.
A staff member (S2) told the board the district has been developing a parent-facing report to share attendance, DIBELS, I-Ready and other assessment results at parent conferences. "We've been trying to work on a report that we can share with parents, and we're finally getting a functioning 1 that we'll be able to share at conferences," S2 said.
S2 said the document will include context so parents understand raw numbers and that the district plans to provide historical comparisons. Staff also said a comparative report from the ESD was pulled from the SIS incorrectly and was therefore tabled; S2 said the corrected comparative data will be shared at the March meeting.
