The Planning & Zoning Commission voted to approve the FY2025/2026 Capital Improvement Program referral, finding it consistent with the Town’s 2016 Plan of Conservation and Development. Commissioner Robin Baran moved to approve the CIP and the motion received unanimous support from those present.
Hiram Peck, Director of Planning and Community Development, reported ongoing minor corrections to the draft Zoning Regulations and recommended the town adopt an ordinance (requiring Town Council action) to regulate short‑term rentals instead of handling them by regulation. He also proposed leaving the Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) regulation in place, keeping Work/Live language as the consultant recommended, and considering limited language to allow two smaller detached signs on one property by Special Exception to provide discretion for unique sites. Peck noted the public hearing on the zoning amendments has been continued to April 29 but that the date may change.
