The Avon Planning & Zoning Commission approved Application #5065 to subdivide the approved Beacon Communities development at 20 Security Drive into two lots to separate the existing building conversion from a new construction building for financing purposes. Attorney Meaghan Miles said the lot split reflects financing streams for the reused building versus new construction and that no site changes are proposed from the earlier approval.
Miles told the Commission that parking easements will be recorded between the two lots to ensure adequate parking and that the project’s tax abatement agreement will not change. Staff indicated the prior approval remains in effect and that the applicant expects to seek financing by the end of the year to begin construction next year, or to request an extension if construction does not start as anticipated.
