Redevelopment Agency schedules closed sessions to discuss JOMAC addendum and real property

During Redevelopment Agency business on April 21, commissioners discussed an addendum to the RDA participation agreement with JOMAC LLC and requested closed sessions with outside counsel and company representatives to discuss implementation challenges.
County staff said "something has come up that may make the signing of the addendum somewhat difficult, not the signing, but the implementation," and asked that Kurt Smith and outside counsel Jay Springer join a closed session so details could be discussed confidentially. Chair Matt Tippett then made a motion, seconded by another commissioner, to enter closed session for "purchase, exchange, or lease of real property." The commission voted to go into closed session by voice vote and recessed the public meeting at 11:19 a.m.
The commission said it would conduct the closed session with counsel and company representatives first, then bring in Peter Quinn for a second closed session on a separate matter. No final action in open session was taken on the addendum at that time.
