County highlights tourism wins and outside funding for community events

Jordan Hewitt, who represents the county's economic development and tourism efforts, told the commission the county had an "amazing" turnout at a recent outwash-sheet event and praised volunteer support. "The outwash sheet was amazing," Jordan said, noting strong compliments and attendance from surrounding areas.
Officials previewed two upcoming events: Adventure Safe, focused on stewardship and child safety (to be held during a Lucerne fishing derby), and a Mountain West Trails visit involving a seven-state group that will include a pontoon excursion. Staff said the county recently secured approximately $3,500 in outside funding to help cover event costs, and that the Utah Arts and Museum and America250 initiative had shown interest in supporting local activities.
