Daggett County Commission approves revised clinic RFP schedule and adds requirement for expanded services

The Daggett County Commission voted to publish a revised request for proposals for a clinic/provider that tightens the timeline for vendor questions and requires proposers to describe potential expanded services.

Jesse, who helped draft the RFP language, summarized the changes and the new schedule: "to recap, we are gonna change the date for questions to be due May 26, the day after Memorial Day. We are gonna leave the date of opening. We're gonna change the date of, the due date to 06/05/2026. We are gonna add a h for expanded services, under 6." Commissioners said the timeline adjustments are intended to allow time to consolidate vendor questions, issue written answers, and still consider awarding the contract at the following commission meeting.

The commission agreed to add a subsection (6.h) to the statements-of-interest portion of the RFP requiring respondents to describe additional services and a timeline for expanding beyond initial day-one offerings. Commissioners highlighted examples they expect proposers to consider, such as physical therapy or on-site x-ray capability, and asked that the RFP give respondents space to propose phased service expansion.

A commissioner moved to approve publishing the RFP with the discussed changes; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Chair and commissioners noted the commission could review proposals and potentially award at the next meeting if additional time was not required. Jesse confirmed he will finalize the draft with the agreed date edits and subsection language and will send the revised document for finalization.
