Hansen highlighted major items: a central dorm remodel, PATH project at Lake Storey, Cook School and neighborhood park projects, stormwater work on Carl Sandburg Drive, approximately $1,955,000 for street and sidewalk improvements, and an expectation of 900,000 in new buses for transit in 2025 (pending delivery). He said remaining GO bond funds could be used for community projects and that the capital plan will be adjusted based on council priorities and further assessments, including water-system and PFAS-related needs.
Hansen encouraged council feedback as staff and the budget team finalize materials ahead of the December adoption timeline.
