City publishes chamber page and prepares to work with Utah Museums Association

A historical society representative said Lisa Barr of the Utah Historical Society will attend the June 3 meeting to discuss UMA membership and support. The mayor also noted the city owns one museum building and the council is exploring hiring staff to help open museums more regularly so visitors can access local history more often. "The city doesn't actually have a museum. The historical society has 2 museums, but the city owns 1 of the buildings," the mayor said when explaining how operations and ownership are split.
